NAVigating

The hubby and I are taking the next step in our involvement with the ministry. Well, for me it is the next step… for him it is a return to a step he’s already been to, but with the spin of marriage added to it. One of my former students, who is a great girl with a strong relationship with Christ, has told me that she wanted to come out. I plan to call her sometime next week and invite her to our cookout. We have Titans tix the first actual night of bible study, so the cookout will be a good time to get her around some of the other folks and see if she wants to go ahead and come the first night or wait until the 6th when I’ll be back. I’m the kind of person who would wait, because people make me nervous as all get out. She might look at it totally differently, though. I’m excited about what God will do, either way.

I’m going to have to keep my outlook positive as we get back on campus again. I’ve been made aware of some stuff of late that really makes me unhappy, and it can be hard to just ignore it and move along like nothing ever happened. I’m holding to the fact that God works for the good of those who love him; and to my husband, who loves me more than I’m sure I can imagine. I think I can shut the rest out and be okay. Defense mechanisms are good sometimes.

Speaking of the hubby, he’s watching Top Chef without me. I must depart.
