We’ve arrived!
Actually, we arrived a few weeks ago, but Charter just now got around to installing our cable/internet. Living without TV is ridiculously odd. I don’t consider myself an addict, but I didn’t realize how dependent I was on the whole “TV as background noise” concept. Oh well, tis back.
The house is not really done in that we still have to hang a lot of the trim/baseboards and do some work on the kitchen. There are odds n’ ends type projects still left undone, but they’re all minor. Overall, I have to say that the house looks 10 million times better than when we bought. The floors are re-done, the walls are all brand new, amenities have been updated… it’s quaint, but it’s nice.
That reminds me of that movie with Dudley Moore where he comes up with the advertising slogan “Volvo: It’s Boxy, But It’s Good.” If anyone knows the name of that thing, please tell me. I can’t remember for the life of me.
Anyway, the house is good. It’s nice to have a place to call “home,” versus the quasi-transient state I’ve been in for the last couple of years. This is ours.
Oh yes! And we have a Boxador! His name is Sebastian. The cats are here as well, so it’s one big happy family.
Yeah. So, it’s late, and I have to go to work in the morn (almost done! real estate office job, here I come!). I’ll try to post some pics when we’re a little more unpacked and settled in. We should have probably been done with that in the first week or two, but we’re kinda slow about that sort of thing. Regardless, more updates to come…
